Terms of Use

Last updated: September 28, 2026

1. The software

PageNarrator is a free browser extension that reads webpages, selected text, and PDFs aloud. Built-in voices run locally.

2. Open-source licenses

PageNarrator's original code is licensed under the MIT License. Third-party components remain under their stated licenses, including the Apache License 2.0. These Terms do not restrict rights granted by those licenses.

3. Acceptable use

You may not misuse the software, interfere with its operation, bypass browser security, distribute harmful code, or use it to violate law or third-party rights.

4. Third-party services

The software relies on browser vendors, open-source components, voice models, Hugging Face for built-in voice downloads, Cloudflare hosting, and email infrastructure. Their own terms may apply.

5. Updates and availability

PageNarrator may release updates, modify features, or discontinue the software. The software is provided as available without a promise of uninterrupted or error-free operation.

6. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PageNarrator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited.

7. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Send questions to support@pagenarrator.com. See also the Privacy Policy.
